Class of Travel

SAS Go offers value through optional purchases of snacks, light meals and beverages on European flights and includes meals on long-haul routes to and from Asia and North America.

SAS Plus enhances comfort with wider seats and extra legroom on flights to and from Asia and North America, along with additional amenities such as priority boarding and access to the SAS Lounge.

SAS Business delivers the highest level of comfort while traveling, featuring fully flat beds, extensive in-flight entertainment, and premium dining options, including champagne and a three-course meal. Available on flights to and from Asia and North America, SAS Business passengers also enjoy complimentary WiFi, priority services, and access to exclusive lounges.

Baggage Allowance

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) offers checked baggage allowances based on ticket type, destination, and EuroBonus membership.

SAS Go Smart, SAS Plus Smart, and SAS Go Bonus allow one 23 kg bag.

SAS Plus Pro and SAS Plus Bonus permit two 23 kg bags.

SAS Business and SAS Business Bonus customers can check two bags up to 32 kg.

EuroBonus Silver, Gold, and Diamond members, along with SkyTeam Elite statuses, enjoy additional baggage allowances, based on their membership level.

Excess or oversized bags incur fees, and baggage policies may vary when connecting with other airlines.

For cabin baggage, SAS permits one small underseat bag for all passengers, with additional carry-on allowances depending on the ticket type and membership level.

SAS Go Light includes only an underseat bag unless the traveler holds EuroBonus Gold or Diamond status, which allows one carry-on.

Other classes may permit up to two carry-on bags. Maximum dimensions are 55×40×23 cm for carry-ons and 40×30×15 cm for underseat bags, with weight limits of 8 kg.

Pets in approved carriers and duty-free purchases are also accommodated within these guidelines.

EuroBonus

Scandinavian Airlines’ EuroBonus program enables members to earn and utilize points through flights, hotel stays, car rentals, shopping, and more. Membership is free and offers benefits such as lounge access, fast track, extra baggage, seat selection, and complimentary WiFi based on the membership level. Families and friends can also pool points to achieve rewards faster.

Members accumulate points by flying with SAS and its partners, using EuroBonus payment cards for booking accommodations, renting cars, and shopping online or at selected stores.

Additionally, EuroBonus members can transfer or donate points and take advantage of exclusive offers to enhance their travel experiences.

In-flight Services

Check-in

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) offers online check-in starting 30 hours before departure, enabling passengers with only carry-on baggage to bypass lines and proceed directly to security. Online services include seat selection, digital or printed boarding passes, and bag tag printing for checked luggage.

Passengers requiring assistance or traveling with pets must check in at airport counters at least 1 hour before departure.

At the airport, SAS provides self-service kiosks and staffed check-in counters to streamline the process. It is recommended to arrive 2 hours before departure, especially during peak times, to allow ample time for baggage drop, security, and reaching the gate.

Assistance and special baggage needs must be handled at check-in counters, which open 2 hours prior to departure, subject to local regulations.

Onboard Support

Assistance must be requested at least 48 hours before departure and is subject to availability. Services include wheelchair assistance with various levels of support for passengers with special needs, ensuring a smooth travel experience.

For unaccompanied minors, SAS provides dedicated care from departure to arrival. Children aged 5-11 must use the service, while it is optional for those 12-17. The process includes escorting the child through check-in, boarding, and customs and ensuring they are safely handed over to an authorized adult at the destination. All special requirements are handled with utmost attention to safety and comfort.

Refund & Cancellation

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) provides refund options based on the ticket type and cancellation circumstances. Passengers may receive full or partial refunds, including taxes, depending on their fare’s refundability. Service fees might apply, and travel extras like pre-selected seats or meals are generally non-refundable. All refunds are issued to the original payment method used for purchase.

Fully refundable tickets include SAS Go Pro, SAS Plus Pro, and SAS Business Pro, allowing cancellations within 24 hours of booking or up to 24 hours before departure.

Tickets refundable for a fee include SAS Plus Smart and SAS Bonus tickets.

Non-refundable fares, such as SAS Go Light, SAS Go Smart, SAS Plus Smart (flights to and from Asia and North America), and SAS Business Smart, and SAS Young only permit tax refunds. Refunds are processed within 7 working days after approval.
